Parentmail 10.3.23
Dear Parents/Carers,
I am sure that you will all join me in wishing Ms Charlotte Lucocq a wonderful day and huge congratulations for next week when she is getting married! She will return as Mrs Giangrandi. We hope that she and her new husband have a lovely time on their wedding day.
Lots of praise for our Year 3 pupils who have completed their first week of swimming lessons. Staff at Splash Central, members of the public and our staff have been universally impressed by pupils’ behaviour, attitude and commitment. Well done Year 3!
Comic Relief Day – Friday 17th March & Year 5 charity stall
Pupils and staff are invited to wear red / non school uniform on this day. We will be collecting donations on the gate as usual. Year 5 pupils will be hosting a charity stall in the KS2 Hall at 11.30am for pupils in Years 4 and 6. Please ensure that they have a small amount of money if they wish to buy anything from the stall. Thank you
PTA Uniform Recycling – Friday 31st March 3.15pm
The PTA will be hosting a stall for preloved school uniform on the last Friday of term from 3.15pm. Come along if you wish to stock up on extra uniform, summer uniform or your child has grown out of what they have. If you have any good condition uniform that you wish to donate, especially KS2-size uniform, it will be gratefully received. Thank you.
Special Options on school lunches menu
A few parents have asked what Special Options 1 and 2 are on the school lunches menu. They are what parents/carers can choose if their child is on a hospital-prescribed diet for medical reasons.
Can you help?
Mrs Vanstone, Year 3, is looking for clean and empty margarine tubs and shallow ice cream containers please. If you have any of these, please send them into school with your child. Thank you.
Parent Consultations survey
Thank you to those of you who completed the survey on whether you prefer face-to-face or virtual parent consultations. The overwhelming response was in favour of face-to-face parent consultations. We will be sending out booking information for these next week.
Sharing Sessions with Parents/Carers
Thank you to Year 6 parents/carers for coming into school to share their children’s work on their Learning Project: Frozen Kingdom. We hope that you all enjoyed hearing about the polar regions from our experts and that our Year 6 travel agents persuaded you to book a holiday there this year! See below for upcoming sharing sessions.
