Film Club

Film Club is on Mondays 3.30-5.15pm, in the IT Suite.  It is open to all of KS2 but at the moment (March 2015) it is full.  If you'd like to be put on a list so that if space become available you can be contacted please let Mrs Ullah know at or on 07711 379401.

News this term: We've watched MONSTERS INC, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, HTTYD 2, NANNY McPHEE, MR PEABODY & SHERMAN and WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT?  Next Monday we are watching MEET THE ROBINSONS and the Monday after - the last Film Club of this term - we will watch KUNG FU PANDA.

CONGRATULATIONS to Ava Rose in Year 3 for getting Review of the Week from Film Club for her review of How to Train Your Dragon 2!  She receives a certificate, pen, badges and a DVD.  You can read her review on the Film Club website in the Reviews of the Week section.

It is planned that Film Club will continue after the Easter Holiday - same time, place and members.  If a member wishes to stop coming to FC (there may be summer after-school activities they'd prefer to be part of) please let Mrs Ullah know so that their place can be offered to someone else.

We have asked all members to provide two re-usable plastic cups, which they must bring with them every week (having taken them home to wash the previous week).  One cup will be for popcorn and we will measure the amount it holds and work out the cost accordingly (it's 20p per beaker-sized scoop).  The other cup is for squash or water, which is free.  Plastic cups cost 10p.  We have cartons of popcorn for sale @ 70p with refills @ 50p.  Members may bring a cushion if they don't want to sit on the floor - if the cushion fits in a standard-sized shopping bag, they can be left on the member's cloakroom peg, otherwise the classroom's book corner is a good place to store it.

Special thanks to the parents who have helped in the sessions: Mrs Ellie Johnson, Mrs Gillian Jones, Mrs Jayne Menin-Steere, Mrs Heather Evans, Mrs Jane Woodhall.  Without their help, Film Club wouldn't happen because Mrs Ullah can't do it on her own!  If you can help at any Film Club session please contact Mrs U.

Remember to go to to see what film is being shown, check any other announcements and write and upload film reviews.

Reviewer of the Week Certificates will be issued on Fridays at the Achievers' Assemblies, so members have until Thursday evenings to upload their reviews.

NO FILM CLUB on 23rd March - Parent Consultation week.
We will re-start on Monday 20th April.
